Hello and happy Friday! Today is the first anniversary of Amy's (new) Five On Friday and I want to share with you these five favourite photos of mine.
With this cute Eurasian tree sparrow (Passer montanus), I will participate in Eileen's
There were many of these birds feeding (and chirping sweetly) in the field, unfortunately most ready to flit away if I moved too suddenly.
Have a lovely and relaxing weekend!
♥
PS A tulip update: The babies shown in my previous post looked like this yesterday. They grow up so fast! :)
Cornflower has been my favourite flower for ever !
VastaaPoistaOlen lapsuudesta asti rakastanut ruiskaunokkeja.
Tuo varpunen viljapellossa on söpö yksityiskohta :)
Kiitos, Rita!
Oletpa aarteen löytänyt! Ruiskaunokkeja ei enää juurikaan näe viljapelloissa... Ihanaa zeniä ♥
VastaaPoistaKiitos, Riitta! Oli tosiaan levollinen ja rauhoittava näkymä. ♥
PoistaSuch beautiful, peaceful photos. Sweden is high on my list of places to visit. Have a lovely weekend. Barbara
VastaaPoistawonderful images! and how exciting to see those little growth tips! have a beautiful weekend! <3
VastaaPoistaThe blue haze of the cornflowers growing amongst the corn creates a beautiful image of serenity. A sweet bird. Have a good weekend!
VastaaPoistaI love visiting Swedan and am there most years. Lovely calm photos indeed x
VastaaPoistaFabulous! I love the deep rich blue of cornflowers, what a lovely sight. :-)
VastaaPoistaOh Sara
VastaaPoistaYour photos are so beautifully composed - I feel as though I'm in that field of blue cornflowers with you.
Isn't that little bird sweet - what a feast he's having!
I would love to visit Scandinavia - I love that landscape.
Shane
Fabulous photos, I just love the blue of the cornflower. I would love to visit Sweden, I have been to Norway and that was just stunning. Perhaps one day ... xx
VastaaPoistaAha they are cornflowers! Last year we had magficent red fields of poppies, but I've never seen fields of blue so much. Very beautiful.
VastaaPoistaThey are a rare sight indeed. In the past common in cornfields, cornflower is now endangered. My guess is that Sweden aims actively to preserve biodiversity in the agricultural landscape... and that's why we can still admire these beautiful blue fields.
PoistaI sow blue cornflowers every year Sara, whether from new seed or those collected from the previous season's flowers. How beautiful it would be to have a whole swath of them.
VastaaPoistaI'll take a cloudy day over a sunny one always for better photos and truer colours and you have definitely created a sense of serenity with these photos.
Such beautiful fields with the lovely swath of purple. The photo of the bird in the midst of the field is great! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
VastaaPoistaYou really are a talented photographer. The pictures of Sweden are beautiful. Have a lovely weekend, Pat
VastaaPoistaBeautiful photos. Have a blessed day. Madeline

VastaaPoistaIhania ruiskaunokkeja! Niitä keräsin naapurin pellosta pienenä. Mukavaa viikonloppua!

Many greetings ... Dorothea

VastaaPoistaI can't wait for the cornflower blue to appear in my flower beds again! A gorgeous five xx
VastaaPoistaThe drift of cornflowers are simply stunning in your photo. I'm used to seeing poppies but never a sight like yours.
VastaaPoistaGreat capture of the little sparrow. They don't stay still for long!!
Have a great weekend Sara :)
I can see why these photos are favorites of yours...wow, they are stunning, my friend. I just loved the one with the sweet bird amonth the flowers.
VastaaPoistaHave a wonderful weekend. Hugs!
You can't beat cornflowers for their beautiful blue and to see them actually in a cornfield is perfect - just where they are supposed to be.
VastaaPoistaSuch pretty flowers, that shade of blue is my favorite color.
VastaaPoistaKaunista ja rauhallista silmänkantamattomiin <3
VastaaPoistaThose are gorgeous photos! I love seeing the beauty of nature its kind of refreshing Sarah!
VastaaPoistaGreat shots of the field and the bird and my Tulips are at the same stage of growth. Have a lovely weekend.
VastaaPoistaA wonderful series, Sara! That shot of the sparrow perching on a cornstalk is just wonderful!
VastaaPoistaHave a wonderful weekend!
I fully understand these are favorite photos. I really love the stripes of cornflowers in the fields and the photo of the sparrow is just gorgeous.
VastaaPoistaHave a nice weekend!
On niin kaunis tuo paikka. Ruiskaunokit ovat varmaan viherlannoituksen ja kauneuden vuoksi. Söpöt nuo sinun tulppaanisi, pian kukkivat!
VastaaPoistaThese are beautiful views! I've never seen cornflowers in such abundance. They grew wild scattered up the laneway of my childhood home. The sparrow is very similar to our "house" sparrow ... cute :)
VastaaPoistaWendy
A lovely summery set of pictures which are so appreciated on a cold winter day!
VastaaPoistaNo wonder so many Swedes settled in Wisconsin. The landscape looks like my neighborhood. :-) I bet it was a fantastic trip. The tulips are wonderful and shout 'Spring!'
VastaaPoistaUpeat maisemat! Mukavaa viikonloppua!
VastaaPoistaBeautiful photos, I love those cornflowers xx
VastaaPoistaThat's a wonderful and pretty photo of the sparrow in the field.
VastaaPoistaI've seen fiery, red poppies in wheat fields, but these cornflowers are so tranquil. Your bulbs are amazing.
VastaaPoistaBeing an avid bird watcher I especially appreciated the beautiful sparrow, but oh the wildflowers are also gorgeous
VastaaPoistaBlue cornflowers are the prettiest things. And such a wonderful big field of them! Happy weekend, Sara!
VastaaPoistaTHANK YOU ALL for your lovely comments!

VastaaPoistaSuch serene photos. Being a blue lover, I really love these little blue cornflowers. I must remember to pick up a pack of seeds for them this spring, love them for bouquets.
VastaaPoistaGorgeous! Your photos bring back sweet memories of summer. We are in another cold spell here in Toronto so any shots of green grass and flowers make me VERY happy!
