A travel diary: Kew Gardens - Mediterranean and Japanese

Hello all! In this post you can see some compact camera shots from the beautiful Mediterranean Garden:

I dedicate the first part of this post to the Mediterranean side of my family. :) Ciao a tutti!

The second part, the Japanese Landscape at Kew, I would like to dedicate to two blogger friends, Pirkko and Gunilla, whose green and lush gardens have particularly inspired me recently.

A travel diary: A brisk visit to Kew Gardens

At the end of July 2018, the summer heatwave had turned the lawns from green to brown also in Kew Gardens. The day was grey and drizzly and again we had very little time... but even from the hasty glimpse we caught of it, we understood Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is a gorgeous place. :) More photos in the following posts.

The Temperate House, re-opened in May 2018 after being closed for restoration.

Sää ei oikein suosinut käyntiämme tässä upeassa kasvitieteellisessä puutarhassa. Sateisen päivän kuvista tuli harmaita ja ehkä siksi huomioni kiinnittyi erityisesti iloisenvärisiin kukkiin. :)

A travel diary: At a hotel - Puunhalausviikko 20.-26.8.2018

Hello all! It's time to continue my photo diary from London. Ten photos and only few words. :) Should you have any questions, please feel free to ask in the comments section below.

Yövyin Lontoon matkallani pienehkössä hotellissa Stratfordissa. Huone oli mukava ja siisti... ja ilmastointi toimi hyvin. Thank goodness! :)

Eniten pidin viihtyisästä aamiaishuone/ravintolasta sekä sen yhteydessä olevasta rauhallisesta sisäpihasta.

Ja tärkeäksi lopuksi: Muistattehan, että ensi viikko on puunhalausviikko!

A travel diary: Punting on the River Cam

Unfortunately, our trip to Cambridge was a very brief one. It's painful to admit we didn't have time to visit for example the University Botanic Garden... :)

We did, however, have a lovely punt tour. Thank you, C. and M., for the wonderful experience!

Monet ihanat vierailukohteet jäivät Cambridgessä odottamaan seuraavaa kertaa, mutta ainakin teimme unohtumattoman hienon jokiveneretken Cam-joella.
