Toukokuun alkupuolta - Snowing and raining :)

Hei taas ja ihanaa toukokuuta! Kuu alkoi koleana, suorastaan talvisena, mutta valoa on nyt paljon, hieman jo vihreyttäkin, linnut laulavat täyttä kurkkua... ja taimimyymälät ja kesäpihat ovat auenneet. :)

Lunta satoi vielä toukokuun alussa.

Äitienpäivää vietettiin kauniissa säässä... ja muisteltiin ensimmäistä "koronaäitienpäivää" kaksi vuotta sitten. Silloin kahviteltiin isovanhempien kanssa ulkona varovaisuussyistä. Onneksi oli aurinkoinen sää. :)

Jää peitti järven vahvana vielä toukokuun alussa,  mutta rannan heinät sentään paistattelivat aamun auringossa.

Laulujoutsenet ovat yhtä aikaa sekä uljaita että hieman koomisen näköisiä. 

In English: Hello dear all! Spring was late this year. It looked like we were going to skip spring altogether and just go straight to summer.  Now we have, however, been able to enjoy some lovely spring days... I must say I'm really tired with cold temperatures. It's May, for heaven's sake! :)

Almost all these photos have been taken through a window. Let's hope these swans will have many cygnets and a happy and safe summer...

During the winter, hares have been feeding on twigs and bark of many plants.  Yet, the will to garden is bigger than ever. :) This time I waited until April to start seeds but everything germinated very fast and in our climate it will still take some weeks before it's safe to transplant the seedlings outdoors. 

Today we have been listening the gentle sound of spring rain. By now the ice has disappeared almost completely.

On melkein uskomatonta kuinka luonto tuoksuineen herää henkiin kevään ensimmäisten vesisateiden myötä.
