... of a white Christmas, that is. This morning the ground and the very thin ice were powdered with snow.
The shortest day of the year is not far away now. According to timeanddate.com, Winter Solstice in Helsinki is on Tuesday, 22 December 2015, 06:49 EET.
After that a little bit of light will be gained every day. :)
♥
Kaunis sininen hämärä kuvissasi. Meille sataa torstaina ehkä hiukan lunta, sitten taas vesisadetta aatonaattoon asti :( Mutta ennusteet voivat muuttua, jatketaan unelmoimista!
VastaaPoistaBeautiful views, we are mid, wet and very windy at the moment. It seems to be an El Nino winter. Well I hate having to cycle in snow and ice.
VastaaPoistaBeautiful photos. Have a blessed day. Madeline
VastaaPoistaThe winter solstice can't come soon enough for me - it gets dark here at 4pm so Amy extra minutes of light are welcome. Love that first shot Sara.
VastaaPoistaOh Sara how I wish we got a little snow here! Not a lot just a light covering! Like in these beautiful pictures you took :-)
VastaaPoistaSuper wintry photos. I especially like the final one. In England it's not so much Dreaming Of A White Christmas as the old Jimi Hendrix song "Still Raining, Still Dreaming"!
VastaaPoistaVery pretty winter shots!
VastaaPoistaThanks for linking away at http://image-in-ing.blogspot.com/2015/12/beautiful-saint-maarten.html
We have no snow here, but spring wetter. :-(
VastaaPoistaMany greetings ... Dorothea :-)
Lovely winter photos!

Beautiful! Hope the snow starts falling more steadily soon! That means our days will get gradually shorter from then (our longest day!)...
VastaaPoistaMeillekin tuli viime yönä kevyt lumikerros. Toivottavasti kestää jouluun saakka. Ihania kuvia sinulla!
VastaaPoistaKyllä jouluna saisi olla lunta, edes pikkuisen! Nyt on jo hieman toivoakin, että valkea joulu tulee tänne eteläänkin. Kauniit kuvat <3
VastaaPoistaWhite and crisp here this morning but not with snow... only frosticles Sara,
VastaaPoistaOur winter solstice is due to arrive on 21st December here in Bonnie Scotland and I can't wait!
Gorgeous photographs and images... thanks for sharing :D
sara, your photos are stunning! I love the delicate fronds and grasses braving the blue cold!
VastaaPoistaI am looking forward to the lengthening days, it is amazing how quickly we seem to get more light isn't it. You must be especially looking forward to it being so far north! xx
VastaaPoistaI am dreaming along with you and humming the song...I'm ready for more light in the morning as I'm having to wait until 7:30 am to walk our dog.
VastaaPoistaA nice blue/gray hue to your photos.
Pysäyttävän kaunis tunnelma järvellä!
VastaaPoistaWonderful winter impressions!
VastaaPoistaOh, like I'm waiting for the time of coming light back (and we celebrate the solstice in our own personal kind)
Enjoy your time
Beautiful captures, they all look so delicate & serene
VastaaPoistaWill be so glad when the Winter Solstice has been & gone. I can then look forward to my favourite time of the year, Spring.
Sara, very nice photos! I wait Winter Solstice as well, because am boring of darkness. Yesterday snow fell down at last but today it melts :(
VastaaPoistaDear Sara,

VastaaPoistaBig hugs
Perhaps I should send you some of ours, though I don't know if I can spare any! It snowed a foot and a half over the weekend.
VastaaPoistaBeautiful. Here this year is very warm. Other Decembers had snow in the mountains this year nothing: ((
VastaaPoistaIn Spain there in saying "Por Santa Lucia night dwindle and grow day.";)
Besos.
Votos de feliz Natal.

How beautiful! Here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast we are lucky to get a few heavy frosts and that's about it. I don't want a lot of snow and ice, mind you, but when it's 80 and humid, I could use a little relief lol!
VastaaPoistaI host a Photo Friday link-up each week - I'd love it if you considered joining us!
Stopping by from Image-in-ing!
Greetings from Dubai! Lovely images!!Have a great day.
