Memories 2015: Colours

The weather was predicted to be sunny today, but the cloudy - and pleasantly mild - weather seems to continue.  Hmm, it does look a little bit grey out there...

Most of these flowers were photographed in the Botanical Garden of Lund University during our holidays last summer. I hope you enjoy their colours!

Added on Wednesday morning: First signs of spring, a container grown Rhodochiton atrosanguineus shooting and some potted tulips 'Sweet Desire'.

Huomenta! Tässä eilen otettu kuva talvehtineen keijunmekon uudesta versosta. Se kasvaa multaan pistetyn oksan varassa; täytyy keksiä sille pian parempi tuki.

Eilen nostin valoon myös tulppaaniruukun ('Sweet Desire'). Näiden pitäisi olla aika hauskan näköisiä. :)

  1. Ihastuttavia. Tekisi mieli heittäytyä noiden pehmeän näköisten kukkien päälle makaamaan, toinen kuva ylhäältä :)

  2. Kaunista kesää! Pelargoni on suloinen ja salkoruusut komeita. Toivottavasti omat mustat salkoruusuni selviävät talvesta.

  10. Kauniita nuo sinun kukkakuvasi! Oletko muuten kokeillut maalata niitä? Olisi muuten ihanaa viettää aikaa jossakin puutarhassa ja maalailla kukkia.

    1. Kiitos, Sametti Hortensia! <3
Lisäsin nyt pari kuvaa. Ne oli eilen otettu kiireessä itseä varten muistin avuksi, mutta kyllähän ne keväisiltä tuntuvat. :)

  17. Beautiful images. Love the hollyhocks against the window. My Mother grew hollyhocks against her fence when I was young. Nice to see the bulbs coming up! xx Karen

  18. Such beautiful blooms Sara! I love the hollyhocks the best, and have plans to plant more of these flowers when I realized I had been accidentally digging up a yellow one I had planted many years ago. It came up every year, and before I recognized it, I ripped it out! This past summer I was a bit negligent on tidying up that corner and that's when the poor hollyhock had a chance to push out some blooms before I yanked it out again ... it was gorgeous! I felt so bad that I had been missing these blooms all those years!

  24. Voi miten suloinen on hän, keijunmekkonen. Pirteästi lähtenyt kasvuun ja tulppaanin alkujakin, niin keväistä. Love it!

  25. Such beautiful colours Sara, especially nice at this time of year when we are getting very tired of looking at white, white and more white. I love visiting botanical gardens, I have several on my "Must Visit" list for this summer.
