Postcards #14: Beautiful walks

This post is dedicated to a dear friend with whom I used to have lovely walks when I lived in Italy. They were long and sporty walks on the beautiful hills; we were the power walkers of the village. :)

Unfortunately the weather was a little bit gloomy on the day in July I took these photos. We were hoping it would finally rain, but it didn't. You can also see some trees, especially horse-chestnuts, suffering from diseases and showing a yellowing of foliage and premature leaf drop.

Grazie, carissima F.!

Ti voglio tanto bene. Ci vediamo!

  4. Like your Chinese lanterns! And your sloes too, wondering what the green fruits are in that plant, they look like little limes!

  8. The two of you must have had the most wonderful walks together. A lot of leaves here were sun burned in the heat and quite a few dropped, which is very unusual for this part of the world. I hope you have a great day.

  11. What a beautiful walk was in Italy. It's a beautiful country.
Here, too, the trees early discolored.
But it also delivers beautiful sights on again.
I wish you a beautiful autumn!

    Love, Gerry

  18. Oliko kävelysauvatkin :) Aika ihania nuo kasvit, lyhtykoiso ja varmaan jotain talvivihreitä pensaita aah. Mikähän tuo ylimmän kuvan kasvi mahtaa olla...? Unelmoin tuollaisesta vanhasta ja ruostuneesta rauta-aidasta puutarhaani..kiitos kun saimme kävellä kanssasi kuvien myötä.

  19. You must have been a power walker before the term became known - but great exercise and through beautiful country. Did you manage to visit this friend on your recent trip to Italy?

  20. What a great variety of shots. I really like the unopened lantern flowers. I love to walk but I have to make a point not to take my camera or I will not get any exercise at all!

  21. This certainly does look like a beautiful walk, I can see why you enjoyed these sights with your friend. My favourite shot from the bunch is the eight one... Showcasing the hills.

At the moment I love to get out walking with my son, we can go quite the distance at the moment because he is in the buggy but he has started walking on his own every now and then whilst out and so less distance is covered which means not as beautiful sights as they are a little way away that he can't walk with his little legs. Haha!
