Purple marshlock (Comarum palustre) is said to be a common waterside plant, but I learned to identify it only some years ago. It has a beautiful flower:
Rosebay Willowherb (fireweed, great willowherb, Chamerion/Epilobium angustifolium) is probably one of those plants that would be more appreciated, were it not so common... :)
Seen from near, its flowers are actually very pretty:
I don't like grasses very much, but they can be spectacular, especially this summer, when they have grown higher than usually... :)
This swan was flying almost above me today at sunrise. They are kind enough to tell they are coming, with their sonorous flight-call, one of the most far carrying of any bird. :)
Enjoy your weekend!
Mukavaa viikonloppua!
HerkĂ€n kauniit kuvat đ MeillĂ€ oli ennen maitohorsmaa pihassa, mutta on vĂ€istynyt istuttamieni kukkien tieltĂ€. Ihana kukkien vĂ€ri. ViimeisestĂ€ kuvasta tulee lintujen muutto mieleen. SyksyllĂ€ nĂ€kee aina niin kiinnostavia lintuparvia ettĂ€ pitĂ€isi varmaan hankkia kiikarit... đRentouttavaa viikonvaihdetta Saralle !

VastaaPoistaI didn't faint, but I was so surprised to hear the swan calling (when I just by chance went out early in the morning) that I almost forgot to zoom in on the bird. :D

VastaaPoistaHello, Sara, I don't really like grasses either, and my elder son is allergic to them, but their texture is so beautiful, isn't it? Wonderful pictures! The photo of the swan is amazing! Have a happy Sunday! :-) Hugs! ♥
VastaaPoistaThese delightful photos, warm my heart. Thank you.
VastaaPoistaUpea tuo lÀhikuva maitohorsmasta! Monet arkiset kukat ja kasvit ovat todella kauniita lÀheltÀ tarkasteltuina.

Upeita kuvia! Mukavaa alkanutta viikkoa! P.s. blogissani on puutarhakirja-arvonta:)
VastaaPoistaHi, Sara!
VastaaPoistaI wonder how many similar plants grow in your and my areas, I love fireweed and marshlock as well. The wild flowers are pretty even grasses that you don't love.
Nice hydrangea!
Cooling off here now and such a breath of fresh air....I have not seen Purple marshlock and love the look of it.....stunning late summer flowers there.
VastaaPoistaAll captures, all blossoms are beautiful and the summer grasses are always lovely in the sunlight, Sara! and very strange but I've never seen before a flying swan. Now I wish to see such beauty one day, possible in a wild nature reserve (and, till then, I'm thinking of those seen, sometimes, in the park among geese and ducks and i'm wondering how that they are not willing to fly away...*-* of course, they are well fed and cared and loved by the visitors...) :)...
VastaaPoistaBack to your pretty post, it is a pleasure to observe aspects of nature from so close and to have a stunning image of a sunny day in late summer evening! Thanks for sharing them and best regards to you! Alexa
Artistically done, Sara, a fine job indeed.
VastaaPoistaHello Sara, passing by to see the news.
VastaaPoistaI always get to know more beautiful flowers.
Good approaching September entry.
Hugs
Janicce

VastaaPoistaPretty flowers around your neck of the woods. Lovely pictures.

ps.....oh yes, I like dark chocolate too. And it does get cold here in Nor Cal
in the winters, but if I'm inside or running to and from places quickly, I only
need to wear a sweater. If I'm outside for a long time, I will be needing a coat. : )
♥ Kiitos! ♥ Thank you! ♥ Grazie! ♥
VastaaPoistaYou have captured the wild flowers beautifully Sara. The swan is beautiful ♥
VastaaPoistaEnjoy the end of your week and have a fantastic weekend :)
