Your lupins are stunning, I love how you have photographed them with the soft background. You must protect them against slus and snails? Have a wonderful week :)
Thank you, Prunella! Almost all these photos have been taken in the evening, at the sunset. They became a little bit too dark, but I finally preferred the tender light and softness to the harsh sunlight of my other photos. We don't have snails, and the slugs we have don't seem to damage living plants. :) The hares are, at least presently, the worst enemy, and I surround the young plants with chicken wire. Wishing you a sunny week! xx
No snails, no sawflies and slugs that don't eat your plants. You must live in Paradise!!! Hares are majestic creatures, I love seeing them run wild. Have a wonderful week Sara :)
Kiitos, Tiina! :) Kyllä vain, kirjolupiinit ovat helppohoitoisia, melko terveitä, mielestäni todella kauniita ja osa niistä myös tuoksuu hyvältä! Ihanaa juhannusviikkoa teillekin!
Dear Sara, thanks for your visit. The lupins photos are beautiful. They are my favorite flowers. Have a lovely week. Many greetings and hugs ... Dorothea :-)
Thank you, Judith! :) Nothing is easier than growing these lupins. They thrive in poor, sandy, dryish soil. Where slugs are a problem, I would grow them in containers.
Sara, your Lupin are lovely. I like the photos you've shared. My wild are ready to bloom and the hybrid have big buds. Mine are faithful, too, and are among my first wildflowers and perennials to bloom.
Upeita lupiineja. Ne ovat yksiä minun lempiluonnonkukistani valtikkamaisine kukintoineen.
VastaaPoistaIhanat lähikuvat ! Miten taidokas kasvimuoto suippenevine kukkalatvoineen.
VastaaPoistaOlen kertakaikkisen ihastunut lupiineihin :)

I love them Sara, and admit I'm envious. What kind of soil do you have them growing in?
VastaaPoistaThank you, Judith! :)

They are so pretty. They grow wild here, but not in my garden. I need to plant some! Hugs xo Karen
