This post has been inspired by the next weeks's MakroTex challenge. The theme is
hobby. Hmm, which one to choose among all those leisure activities I love? After changing my mind several times, I chose
hiking and trekking, also to be able to post photos of plants and landscapes, my favourites and what this blog is about.
We love walking in beautiful natural environments, especially hilly and mountainous. The most recent photos haven't been taken by me, but I post them with the kind permission of the family member that took them (in August) in Piedmont, Italy. Thank you, D.!
Recently I read about the Leave No Trace movement, which offers a set of guidelines for low-impact hiking:
"Leave nothing but footprints.
Take nothing but photos.
Kill nothing but time.
Keep nothing but memories".
Have a lovely day!
Lovely pictures! I am sure that is an excellent place for hiking and trekking, a good place to enjoy nature. I like the guidelines for low-impact hiking. Have a good Sunday!
VastaaPoistaI just noticed it is not Sunday today. It's Saturday, so have a good Saturday!
Poista,
Awesome scenery! I love hiking too in the hills near us but this area is breathtaking!
VastaaPoistaHappy Saturday!
An excellent hobby ! Wandering through breath-takingly beautiful sceneries,
VastaaPoistastopping on a mountain top or by a babbling brook. I love those Leave no Tracks
instructions. Very wise :)
Excercise for the body and rest for the soul. Fantastic sceneries!
VastaaPoistaWow, what a gorgeous place. The scenic views are lovely. Have a happy weekend!
VastaaPoistaKerrassaan upeat maisemat! En ole vuosiin ostanut perinteisiä matkamuistoja. Jonkun opaskirjan olen hankkinut ja kuvia on tullut otettua. Oikein mukavaa viikonloppua sinulle!
VastaaPoistaWonderful place for hiking and resting ♥ I mostly love the natural pool of the waterfall ♥♥♥
VastaaPoistaThanks for sharing with us ♥♥
Hugs and kisses
Gorgeous scenery! Must be lovely walking there! Have a beautiful weekend!
VastaaPoistaThere's a stunning butterfly in one of those pics, think it's a fritillary of some kind. And as for that waterfal, glorious...
VastaaPoistaHaastelin sinut kesäkuvahaasteeseen jonka olet jo varmaan saanutkin, ei tarvitse vastailla, mutta teki mieli....huh mikä paikka tuo onkaan, menisin varmaan sekaisin lopullisesti jos tuonne päätyisin. Parempi pysytellä täällä Suomen kamaralla vaan :) Kiitos matkakuvista!
VastaaPoistaBeautiful photos. Have a blessed day and a wonderful weekend. Madeline
VastaaPoistaBeautufl photo's.
VastaaPoistaButterfly bushes remain beautiful, but also the Italian scenery is nice.
Love, Gerry
Yours and D's photos are beautiful. I also enjoy hiking and walking but I guess my first hobby is photography. Have a beautiful week.
VastaaPoistaPam
Thank you for your visit and kind words.
VastaaPoistaEven my hobby is hiking.
Beautiful nature pictures.
Lots of love
Dorothea
The 'Leave No Trace' ideal is well known here as well - not that everyone follows it but good folks will pick up what others have left behind.
VastaaPoistaWas that butterfly bush growing wild Sara? It is one plant I could never be without because I love the scent so much and the fact that it attracts the hummers and butterflies.
Hubby and I haven't done much all terrain walking but now that we've both had our torn meniscus repaired we hope to get out more in Florida next February. I'd really like one of those poles for walking with a camera mount on top.
Noissa maisemissa passaakin patikoida!
VastaaPoistaUpeat maisemat patikointiin:)
VastaaPoistaI love love love hiking...escursioni! Every year we visit trentino alto adige and go on hikes every day. I leave feeling so rested and at peace with myself and with the world. I love it so much. Thank you for taking me back to those beautiful memories I have of this past summer :-)
