Hello Sara, lovely images. Your flowers and the fall leaves are beautiful. I love the gorgeous sunset. Pretty mosaics! Have a happy day and new week ahead!
Hello, Si! They are fungi. They should be a species of Cladonia (cup lichen), but I don't know which one. I like them very much and last year I posted also a small poem about them, written by the Finnish poet Helvi Juvonen. http://mywoodlandgarden.blogspot.fi/2014/11/lichens-poems-and-bears.html
Beautiful shots. So calm and peaceful. Love the sunsets/rises ... lovely fall colors, too. Gorgeous scenery and love the reflections on the water. Have a lovely week.
I really love these September scenes...and what is that unusual growth on the rocks....September and autumn are perfect times to drink in the beauty of nature. Have a lovely week!
Gorgeous photos Sara, I enjoyed watching them and scrolling up and down. The different mosses on the rocks are so interesting, but most beautiful of all are the sunsets, I never get enough of these scenes. Have a nice week! Janneke
I oohed and ahhed right down the page Sara. :-) What are the little fungi that look like golf tees? There is a tree on a corner lot that I see on my morning walks that is not doing very well so I gave it a hug this morning and didn't care who saw me! ( a crazy granny LOL) It was struck by lightning several years ago and lost the top but has grown back up from the bottom - a maple of some sort. Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday.
Wow - it's getting quite autumnal out your way, it won't be long before you have your gorgeous winter woolies out that we see in your photographs, the sunsets are such a gorgeous compliment to all, it really is a riot of colour out your way. Enjoy I know I certainly did! Wren x
