Hello all! In lack of good photos and/or good texts (it's so very cloudy and dark in these days!), I post again some favourite pics of mine. These photos aren't good technically - they were taken using a-not-very-advanced mobile phone - but the flowers were really pretty! :)
In 2015, it started to be time for me to upgrade to a new mobile phone and I transferred the photos taken with my old, little Nokia phone to the computer. These were some of my favourites... depicting the Stairs of Harju, in Jyväskylä, Finland. Or rather, the lovely nasturtiums planted there to adorn the steps.
Hei taas! Minulla olisi paljon postausaiheita, mutta kuvista tulee kauheita eikä tekstiäkään synny. Seuraava postaukseni on taas kirjapostaus. Kyseessä on kirja, josta en pitänyt kovin paljon, ja on kova työ keksiä jotain fiksua sanottavaa siitä. :)
Such a beautiful colour:
There were rhododendrons too...
I had called this photo "Anarchy in JKL". At Harju, the park benches were always dark brown. One morning in autumn, I noticed that somebody had spray-painted one of the benches and the litter bin next to it... and they looked just fabulous...
Fortunately I took some photos, because after one or two days they had been repainted with the thick brown paint. Was the colour too whimsical for the Maintenance Division? To be fair, I must tell that all the benches seemed to have been painted, perhaps it was to be done before winter. It was a pity, though; I would have preferred benches like this. Or what do you think?
Hugs! Halauksia! Abbracci!
Beautiful flowers. I love that deep red! I do like to see benches in parks. We have a few comfortable benches along the shore of our little Dallas Pond. It's wonderful to be able to sit there and contemplate a Creator who would give us so much beauty to enjoy.
VastaaPoistaOh, I love the coloured bench - I have one in red.

Wonderful post. The flower photos are just beautiful and I like the colorful bench. Have a blessed day. Madeline
VastaaPoistaLovely photos, Sara. I love colored benches too.
VastaaPoistaThe coloured benches throughout would be my choice - such fun! It must be men that decide the benches should be brown because I had painted the bench in our backyard blue and thought it looked great. My hubby thought otherwise - too garish he said, stripped the colour and stained the wood. Oh well, I spray paint all my yard art lavender, turquoise or blue and he just ignores them. :-)
VastaaPoistaWhat type of phone will you look for now? Since I purchased an iPhone (S5) last year I have been using the camera on it quite a bit and am pleased with the quality of photos.
Tykkään oikein perinteisistä romanttisista penkeistä. Kauniit kuvat.
VastaaPoistaDear Sara,
VastaaPoistaWhat a beautiful Nasturtium, and Rhododendrons.
I find the colored bench a funny and creative way to bring color into a park. Whether one wants to make the benches subordinate to the colors of plants and flowers.
Good luck with finding a new phone!
Love, Gerry,
The flower photos are beautiful. I planted nasturtium last summer for the first time and loved them. I rather like the colourfully painted bench over the plain brown ones but I suppose it's more costly and time consuming to keep them looking nice. Have a good week Sara.
VastaaPoistaThe flowers are wonderful - nasturtiums are one of my favorites. And I love the bench - too bad it got repainted - it was so cheerful.

Belas imagens!
Uma linda e abençoada semana!!!
Abraços Marie.
I love seeing the colorful benches! The nasturtiums are so bright and cheerful. This reminds me to buy some seeds to plant some! Hope you are enjoying some spring sunshine, Sara! xo Karen
VastaaPoistaThe colorful benches are wonderful! Too bad that they were repainted brown. How wonderful that you saved the pictures from your previous phone! Love the nasturtiums!
VastaaPoistaVärikkäät krassit harmaata muuria vasten on varsin vaikuttava näky. Väri iloa!
VastaaPoistaRodoissa on hempeä syvällisen kauniit värit en koskaan kyllästy niiden katselemiseen!
I love the colorful benches! The bright cheery nasturtiums are lovely too! :)
VastaaPoistaThe flowers are lovely and the bench does look cheery! Great shots! Have a happy day!
VastaaPoistaThank you all for your lovely comments!
VastaaPoistaBeautiful flowers! That colorful bench made me smile!Hugs,my dear Sara!
VastaaPoistaTe deseo buena noche.
Un abrazo.
Hah hah, it's certainly easier to see the brightly coloured benches from afar.
VastaaPoistaHaving said that one realizes that camouflage can also be the way to go 😎
Näkyvyydellä ja maastoutumisella on omat hyvät puolensa. 🌿
Your Jyväskylä pictures are fabulous 🌺 🌸 🌺
It's good you were able to save and transfer your photos as they are lovely. The multi shades of the nasturtium flowers are pretty and someone got creative with the paint on the bench and rubbish bin! I think green paint instead of brown would at least have been better when all the benches were officially repainted.
VastaaPoistaHej Sara!
Kram!
Suloisen väriset alppiruusut. Eipä aikaakaan, kun saamme taas nauttia niiden odotetusta kukinnasta. Onpa iloisen värin pintaansa saanut penkki ja roskis.
VastaaPoistaMukavaa helmikuun jatkoa sinulle. 😊😊
The word Nokia brings back memories, Sara. it seems that at one time everyone had a Nokia phone, but it has been relegated to the status of historic relic here! Things change quickly!
VastaaPoistaPirteät penkit :)
VastaaPoistaTulisipa kesä!
VastaaPoistaGreat photos of lovely flowers. I love the colorful bench. Have a blessed and wonderful day. Madeline
VastaaPoistai just love the colour.
VastaaPoistaIhania kuvia. Mukavaa viikonloppua!
VastaaPoistaLovely photos of beautiful flowers!
VastaaPoistaLove from Titti
🌺 Obrigada! 🌺 Gracias! 🌺 Kiitos! 🌺 Thank you! 🌺 Tack så mycket! 🌺
VastaaPoistaLovely pics. I don't think of Nasturtiums as plants that would thrive in the far north of Europe. I think of them more as Mediterranean flowers, or maybe Californian. But obviously I am wrong. I do grow them sometimes in our garden. They do OK, but I wouldn't say they thrive.
VastaaPoistaThank you, Jason!
VastaaPoistaThe Nasturtiums in these photos were the happiest I have seen in Finland.
I love them - perhaps because my mother used to grow them when we were children. I grow them sometimes too but without much success. :)
The benches look better colourful. It was a good idea.
VastaaPoistaHave a cheerful week, Sara.
Hugs!
Love the colourful flowers and the bench :)
VastaaPoistaAll the best Jan
Thank you, Luisella and Jan! 🌺 Big hugs!
