July = Flowers!
Small flower eaters are growing too. :) A young Lepus timidus or Lepus europaeus.
A blogger friend, Silvana of Amore, Pasta and Pizza (lovely recipes and great photos!), posted recently some delicious ice cream recipes and her post reminded me that the mint chocolate chip ice cream is one of my favourites but I have never tried to prepare it myself.
All you need is... cream (and milk), some natural yogurt (I don't use egg whites), perhaps a little bit of sugar, mint syrup and chocolate chips. (Having an ice cream maker helps, but you can have good results without one, chilling the mixture in a freezer and stirring vigorously every 30 minutes for 4 or 5 times.)
We have been making much ice cream this summer. There are many tasty and fun condiments you can use.
The faithful Musso Stella does the work. :)
A berry sorbet - blueberries, lingonberries, some strawberry jam and water:
Amarene are great in/with ice cream. This sour cherry tree was photographed in Italy. I should try growing them here...
Have a lovely new week!
