Memories 2015: Uppsala, Sweden

Hello all! In general, I try to show with my photos how our part of the world looks like in this moment.   Today, however, I want to take a short break from the winter ice and snow. We'll have a walk in the centre of Uppsala on a peaceful Sunday morning.  The cloudy weather wasn't the best for taking photos, but it wasn't the worst possible either. The photos were taken in July.

Have a lovely new week!

  7. What a beautiful place. The astilbes are gorgeous, aren't they. We all need a bit of break from winter. Here it has warmed some, melting the several inches of snow that have been on the ground since Christmas. No doubt there will be more snow before winter passes, but the warmth for the moment feels very good. A wonderful arm chair tour today. Thank you.

  9. Oi voi miten kauniita kuvia! Ihania kuvia olet löytänyt kätköistäsi! Upeat kuva kirkon tornista.

    1. Kiitos, Teresa! :)
Uppsalan keskusta oli tosiaan aivan hurmaava kokemus. (Lähiöt ovat kai sielläkin hieman ongelmallisia.) Otin kuvan pienen puiston kyltistä, jossa lukee Gösta Knutssons Promenad ja vanhalla hautausmaalla oli G.K.:n hautakin. Vanha hautausmaa on hyvin kaunis, isoine puineen, polkuineen, penkkeineen, kukkaniittyineen..., mutta siellä ei oikein tohtinut kuvia räpsiä.
